Cappie’s Scoop: This hike was torture for me! Not because it’s too long, too steep or too rocky. It’s because the trail circles all the way around and the lake and I couldn’t jump in the water at all! I kept trying to take a quick detour but mom kept pulling me back and said we can only look at the lake, no swimming. What a bummer! Don’t hesitate to add YOUR scoop in the comments below!
Tips: If you’re looking for a nice easy and mostly flat loop around a lake, this is your spot! There are also some picnic tables in near the lake so it would be a good place for a picnic too.
Directions: From the town of Bishop, follow 395 north to Convict Lake Road, exiting left. Follow Convict Lake Road and take a right turn toward the trailhead parking lot on an access road just before the Convict Lake Resort.
