Lundy Canyon

Cappie’s Scoop: When I first did this hike, mom was looking for fall leaves and we were both surprised to find a waterfall towards the end of our hike! I love playing in the water. Then the next time we went back, we found out there’s another waterfall on the trail too. So two waterfalls and lots of fall colors for mom, what a great hike! Don’t hesitate to add YOUR scoop in the comments below!

Tips: This hike is best in the fall with the beautiful aspen trees and their golden leaves shimmering in the sun. There are also two surprise waterfalls on this hike that we didn’t expect to find. If you want to camp nearby, the Lundy Canyon Campground is on the same road that leads to the trailhead. Pack warm clothes for a fall camping trip!

Directions: Follow 395 north to the town of Lee Vining. From downtown Lee Vining, continue north on 395 for 6.7 miles to Lundy Canyon Road and turn left.
