Cappie’s Scoop: Sometimes you just need a quick hike with a great view of the mountains – the San Francisco Peaks and Mount Elden! Mom and I escaped here for a nice hike (or walk) and we kept our eyes open for wildlife. Off in the distance was a bunch of deer! I wanted to run after them and ask if they wanted to play but mom said no. So we watched from a distance. They were eating the grass just like I do! I told mom, see we have so much in common, we would get along great! Well maybe another time I can say hello. Don’t hesitate to add YOUR scoop in the comments below!
Tips: This urban trail is also called the Nate Avery Trail. The area used to be a private wildlife park and we did see a herd of deer while hiking (or you might say walking) here.
